Our nonprofit program of Japanese Karate provides age-appropriate exercise, self-defense skills, and great fun for the entire family. With family friendly rates, no long-term financial commitments, classes taught by a 7th degree blackbelt, and training that builds long-term self-defense skills, Morning Star Martial Arts is the best way to achieve your self-defense goals. Expectations management is important. Morning Martial Arts is not a commercial school. We are small, non-profit, and our tuition is 1/3 to ¼ commercial school’s. Our space is not a store-front; we rent Sykesville’s activity room. You will not see the stereotypical paraphernalia of modern schools, just a plain room with a clean floor. Our tuition is low because this is a labor of love. We don’t pay for advertising, or thousands of dollars a month in rent and business expenses. You don’t pay for promotions or equipment; beyond your tuition there are no other charges. There are no testing fees or equipment to buy – we give new students a free uniform – and there are no contracts.Before you make a final decision on where to learn martial arts, drop by and chat with some of the members of our ‘family’.
